Tres Rios De Coronado, Costa Rica

With its pristine, untouched jungle and expansive ocean views, Tres Rios De Coronado is a friendly little town huddled above several beautiful rivers (hence the village name, which roughly translates to 'three rivers'). The area seems a long way away from the more commercial aspects of tourism in Costa Rica, with an authentic local atmosphere and ambience and a real feel of rural life with tropical gardens and waterfall pools.

Activities available for tourists include trips to see wildlife such as birds, monkeys, turtles, and dolphins or just take in the peaceful vistas and amazing dioversity that are such a feature of the area, as well as numerous other activities such as diving, fishing and snorkeling.

There are numerous hotels available in the area, the majority of which are on the high end of the market but which do offer stunning scenic views and amazing quality of service. Tres Rios De Coronado can be reached by air from Palma Sur or by a scenic car drive or bus ride from San Jose.
