Fun Things to do in Alajuela, Costa Rica

Alajuela is a great place for vacation if you're looking for somewhere different to go in Costa Rica. There are plenty of things to see and do there, and you can find plenty of affordable places to eat and shop while you're there. It would be a great place to stay while visiting the surrounding areas including San Jose.

The weather in Alajuela is beautiful and warm, but the province is fairly close to volcanoes, so tourists are encouraged to use extra caution when hiking and visiting certain natural parks. There are plenty of places to visit if you enjoy nature and want to look at the beautiful animals and plants in the area, so you can visit places like the Cano Negro National Wildlife Refuge, which is a habitat for wetland animals year round.
