Golfito - A Lucrative Spot for fishing cognoscenti

Golfito had been a profitable banana port but due to the wanton rise in the taxation scale with a fall in the price level accompanied by the serious labor disputes in the United Fruit Company have spoiled the sap of the business. Presently Ticos are commonly seen coming from the other places on every weekend, selling and buying the branded and non-branded items, garments and other necessary products sitting at the duty free zone.
