Liberia

There are also many overseas food chains in the food mall at or near the city's main crossroads, including the ever popular Subway. Other attractions include the Museo de Sabanero (located in a colonial era house known as the Case de Culture, it is a haven for Costa Rica's cowboy culture) and the relatively new Africa Mia, which offers an African safari like experience.

Another major nearby attraction is the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano National Park, which is situated just to the northwest of the city and features natural wonders as bubbling clay pots and hot springs (caused by the volcano) as well as many rivers and waterfalls.

Liberia is also now becoming regarded as the official gateway to the beautiful Guanacaste beaches, which are becoming more and more popular with tourists. The city is accessible via the Daniel Oduber International Airport, which is situated four miles to the south of Liberia on the road to Nicoya and can be reached from international airports in cities such as Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Toronto and London.
