How do I use the Costa Rica Vacation Rentals site?
Costa Rica Vacation Rentals display's our clients property in a clean and precise format. Our format has been tested over time and is very easy to navigate to each page form any page. We give the user/renter up to date information about Costa Rica. We do have features that you may not be familiar with so do read the next items below.

How do I use the interactive map?
1. Hover over map to high light each region and for general area description including nearest airport for international arrival.
2. Click region for expanded region view. Towns listed have one or more vacation rentals and business listings. Click town to see list of vacation rentals and businesses in that town.
3. The tabs located at the bottom of map lead you to more information about their respective titles.

What is the Bullentin Board?
When you become a member you can post your vacation requirements in the owners bullentin board. Interested owners will contact you directly with rental offers that suit your needs without the hassle of asking individual owners. You can set the bullentin request to be active for 5 - 60 days in 5 day increments. Owners have access to your Bullentin Board request 24/7. Please keep in mind that its a good idea to review your favorite properties and email owners directly for specified results.

What is My Favorites?
When you become a member you can add properties to your Members Control Panel- My favorites and email all of your My Favorites with one email, eliminating inquiring to each property individually.

How do I pay for the rental?
Each listing is individually owned and accepts different forms of payment. You will see the payment procedures for each property in the Property Rental Policies of each listing. The Credit Card icon will be available only to the owners that accept Credit Cards.
Recommended:
* Get a lease or rental agreement. Be sure to get everything down on paper before you send any payments.
* Don't miss deadlines for deposits and payments. Missed payment deadlines can result in a forfeiture of monies and a cancellation of your reservation.
* Know your cancellation policy. Get a clear cancellation policy in writing. Be prepared to sacrifice at least a portion of your deposit should you have to cancel. Some owners have non-refundable cancellation policies, which could result in your losing your entire deposit.

Does Costa Rica Vacation Rentals verify the listing information?
No. All listing information is provided by the owners or the owners agent of the rental property but this is a paid listing service. The owner/Agent has to pay an annual fee to be considered for a listing. Renters be aware of free vacation rental listing services/web sites. It is very simple to create a bogus listing just to recieve your payments from afar.

How do I know that I'm getting a legitimate rental property?
We encourage you to review the photos and all details that are listed on the rental property listing page. In addition, before you book a reservation and send any money please verify that the property matches your needs. We highly recommend Renters conduct their own research regarding any and all advertising on this website including, but not limited to:
* obtaining references from past renters
* visually inspecting the property by requesting additional photos from the owner/manager
* requesting a copy of all policies
* insisting on a property lease/rental agreement
* requesting a phone number to reach the owner/manager

Are the rental properties listed here associated with timeshares?
No. All the properties listed on Costa Rica Vacation Rentals are privately owned.

How do I contact an owner about a rental?
At the bottom of each property listing page you will see an inquiry form. Complete the form entirely so the owner has enough information to give you the best pricing and amenities. Become a member and mass email with My favorites. When contacting the owner(s) please be sure not to include any credit card or banking details.

How do I reserve a rental?
At the bottom of each property listing page you will see an inquiry form. Complete the form entirely. In the comments box request the owners contract/rental agreement for review. When booking the reservation please be sure not to give the owner any credit card or banking details just yet. Only once you've signed the owner's contract/rental agreement should you exchange the money.
